2007 Review

Hola! everyone. And wish you all a very happy new year. My resolution this year is to make even more effort to stay in touch…let’s see where that takes us. Meanwhile an update of 2007 follows:

Relationships: It was a mixed bag, with things changing in more ways than one. Quite a few old friends met up, or connected online…and a few (very few, thankfully) decided to drop out…i can honestly say that i made a fair bit of effort to stay connected, and to make new & strengthen old relationships, and that my efforts paid off. Obviously time & distance played villains of the piece, as i am sure they will continue to play for some time to come, but then if it was easy it wouldn’t be half the fun, would it?

Career: A roller-coaster ride this one. I left one job (with a large Indian BPO in UK), joined a fairly challenging one with a large Indian conglomerate (in Mumbai), and decided to jump in three months’ time, moving back to a previous employer (in Delhi) in a role I had hitherto not explored. It’s challenging, it’s fun & it’s vastly under-rated. Is this where it ends? I seriously doubt that. I think I’m too much of a free spirit to endure Corporate Slavery for long. Watch this space…

Books & Interests: Despite 2 relocations (1 of which involved changing countries), and job changes, I managed to read some really good books this year. Will update my Shelfari profile soon! I also managed to blog for the first six months, and to travel a fair bit. In 2008, I fully intend to do much more of all three activities.
