Petition for Justice

Staying quiet in the face of injustice is akin to supporting injustice. If we don’t speak out, we ensure that tyranny & lawlessness is propagated, and that no one else will speak out for us.

On Dec 24, 2008, Manoj Kumar Gupta (1979 Civil Engineering, IT-BHU), a Class I Executive Engineer with UP PWD was brutally assaulted, beaten, tortured and killed by the local MLA, Shekhar Tiwari and his partymen. If you have been following the news in the media, as of yesterday, the MLA has confessed to his crime and said that he did it because Manoj was not as pliant to his illegal requests as his predecessor, and was not greasing the palms of the local politicians. The investigations into the case are on, and the state government, run by the party to which the MLA belonged, is trying its best to regain its image after having initially hinted at this being a case of PWD Engineers fighting over contract commissions.

A petition for justice against this heinous crime is at http://www.Petition Online.com/ mkgupta/petition .html

I urge you all to please read & sign the same. I would also urge you to forward this to as many people as possible, so that they can sign. Please also put up a link on your blogs, tweets, facebook etc.

Thanks

The barbric murder of Mr.M.K.Gupta by a politician and his goons is a henious crime and a slap on humanity and on those corrupt politicians who clap for socalled democracy presently in practice in our country and the same is liable to be critisized in the strongest possible terms. The murderers should be tried, convicted and publicly hanged as soon as possible.
