Jennifer Lin @ TED

28 Aug

From the Freakonomics Blog comes this gem of a link. As Steven Levitt says,

Honestly, though, none of these talks compares to Jennifer Lin’s performance. She was 14 at the time. I was in the room when she played the piano at TED and it was unforgettable. The whole thing is good, but if you get bored, skip to 16 minutes and 40 seconds into the video. That is where Goldie Hawn randomly picks five notes and Jennifer tries to improvise something on the spot based on the notes. If you only follow one link from this blog in your life, going to 16:40 of this link is the one to choose.

Guys Do check it out!
As per the blurb on the TED Blog, “The TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference is an annual event where leading thinkers and doers gather for inspiration.”

And i’m certain with music like this, there was inspiration in plenty!

Also worth checking out is the list of podcasts of various talks including Richard Baraniuk | Larry Brilliant | Majora Carter | Dan Dennett | Al Gore | Sirena Huang | Jennifer Lin | Ross Lovegrove | Nicholas Negroponte | Jehane Noujaim | David Pogue | Joshua Prince-Ramus | Tony Robbins | Ken Robinson | Hans Rosling | Cameron Sinclair | Amy Smith | Julia Sweeney | Jimmy Wales | Rick Warren

Happy listening!
